| Why
did you choose the name MinterCreek for this Website? I happen to live in the watershed of
MinterCreek, a small pristine creek that runs about 20 miles in length on the Key
Peninsula, near Gig Harbor, Washington. I liked the name, even though it is fairly long.
(Besides, my first two choices were already registered to someone else.) This name
represents a concept to me: MinterCreek is locally interesting, significant, but little
known more than a few miles from the creek. Yet, because this watershed is a pristine area
and includes both a salmon hatchery and a private oyster farm near it's mouth, it has a
far reaching effect on more than just this community. I am hoping that this website will
eventually have a far reaching effect in the lives of people that access the site. I have
some developing dreams of what this site might grow into for my community of friends, but
those dreams are still expanding and open to suggestions. Meanwhile, I am having a great
deal of fun, and learning experiences working with this. Thanks for looking around. TK
